Claire the Pirate

Claire thought that she would go to the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean as, well, a pirate. Having no sewing skills and a couple of weeks before work started, she decided to make her own costume. It consisted of a skirt, an overskirt, bloomers, a blouse, a corset, and a coat. Here she is at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood on opening night. The hat was a birthday present, purchased from a reenacting store in Gettysburg. I'll post more photos as soon as I find them...
