Anne Kemp Hummel
A Retrospective of her Life Thus Far
Emily, Claire, and I made a few additions to the videos we showed on March 21st, and posted those to Facebook a couple of days ago. Since not everyone in the family is connected to me on Facebook, and also since Facebook sometimes inexplicably hides things, I thought it would be ideal to also post here on Thomasville the videos we showed at Anne's celebration.
For each of these videos, we have rendered them in HighDefinition Video, and if you want to see them at their best, full screen quality, just click on the little "vimeo" logo in the lower right hand corner of each video frame. Particularly noticeable in posts number 2 and 3.
Here's what I wrote on Facebook:
Videos from Anne’s Celebration
This is the first of two Facebook posts. Emily, Claire, and I are posting this from Anne’s page to ensure that everyone that wants to see this will be able too.
We have had many people ask to see the videos we showed at Anne’s celebration in March, and many that were there have asked to see them again.
We started the day with this brief video clip of Anne’s Dad summing up his approach to life, because it so precisely describes Anne’s approach as well. We’re moved every time we watch it.
The song is a favorite of Anne’s. "Lord Deliver Me," by Sara Beth Geoghegan

Anne Kemp Hummel, A Retrospective of Her Life Thus Far
This is the second of two posts.
Be sure to read what’s below… There’s some great stuff to read “below the fold.”
When we all got together in March to express gratitude for and celebrate how richer our lives have been for having had Anne/Mom as a part of our lives, Emily, Claire, and I compiled a video about her in four parts.
We have had many people ask to see the videos again, and many that weren’t able to be there ask if they could see them as well. So, we present for you our “Director’s Cut” of the video. We’ve added a dozen or more photographs that we always intended to include, and in “Adventures With Anne,” have added titles indicating where each of the adventures took place.
We’re providing the time that each segment starts so you can go to that specific part of the video.
“Anne growing up” This is the start of the video, that takes you up to when she met some guy and decided to hang out with him.
“I Love My Wife!” From the Broadway musical, “I do! I do!” A favorite musical of Anne’s parents, Anne’s Dad, Tom Kemp, Sr. gave the Original Cast Recording of this to his Grandchildren. I wasn't familiar with the song, but was moved more than I can express when Emily and Claire asked for this song to be used in this compilation. They chose the photos too. Starts at: 07:03
“Friends and Family” A montage of just that; Anne’s remarkably extended family and her many dear friends. Starts at: 09:08
“Adventures With Anne” Anne was, without a doubt, the impetus for the many places we travelled to and explored. We were always eager participants, and have had instilled in us all an intense love of traveling. Starts at: 20:11

And the third video we showed was this treasure that Claire found on Anne's computer that Anne had never shown to anyone else before. Recorded in July of 2014, for Jennifer Scott Kemp. It's one thing to discover any unseen video of Anne playing the Ukulele, but the song that Anne sings is just so... Anne.
